This is a focused shooting camp with the use of personalized drills and special instruction. Players will learn fundamental shooting techniques and offensive moves. Coach Topp brings a wealth of coaching and training experience from his years of coaching basketball at the middle, high school, and college level. While coaching at AACC, his team was ranked 6th in the nation for DIII JUCO free throw percentage. He has worked with NBA shooting coach Buzz Braman, as well as with the Shot Doctor Basketball Camps, to help players of all ages and skills to improve their shooting game.
About the Director: Coach Topp has a personal
record of making 142 consecutive free throws and was the 2008 Maryland Senior
Olympics free throw champion. For the
past two seasons, Coach Topp has been the head coach for the Bay Area Shuckers,
the minor league pro basketball team that plays in the Kilby Center at AACS,
and is also the head coach of the Boys’ Middle School A team at AACS.

About the Director: Coach Scheidt is a long time coach and former college player from the Chicago area. He brings passion and intensity as well a love for basketball, athletes, and kids!

This camp is designed to provide
players of all different ages, abilities and levels an experience that advances
their individual basketball skills and at the same time is fun and
rewarding. Players will be grouped by
age and skill. Improvement on fundamentals
and sportsmanship will be stressed and will include games and contests, station
drills, shooting instruction and end-of-session evaluations.

This program, coached by a specialized British Soccer instructor,
provides technical and tactical instruction, placing emphasis on skill development,
fundamental tactical
awareness, and FUN. The morning emphasis is
placed upon individual skill development, fundamental tactics, goal scoring and
coached scrimmages. Individuals in the full day program will then have a one
hour lunch break, followed by scrimmages, competitions and British Street
soccer games. Bring cleats and a water bottle daily. Campers will receive a
soccer ball, t-shirt, player evaluation, and gift.
Challenger Sports British Soccer Camp is the most popular soccer camp in the country. Hundreds of Challenger Coaches each year have helped the company develop the most innovative approaches to coaching youth soccer in the US. Our experienced staff study the game at all levels and have identified the key techniques and skills that your players need to work on and master to reach their true potential.
Each day includes individual foot skills, technical drills, tactical practices, small sided games, coached scrimmages, and a daily World Cup tournament.

This widely popular and entertaining youth basketball camp is in its 12th year at AACS. Campers will be taught individual skills as well as the fundamentals of team play. Campers will also spend a small portion of the day outside as well as have a 30 min resting period where a sports video will be shown. Special awards are given daily for enthusiastic campers as well as to end-of-session outstanding teams and contest champions.
Lunch/Concessions: Pizza, hotdogs, chips,
candy, Gatorade, and other snacks will be available daily for separate
purchase.
PALUMBO BASEBALL

This camp features instruction in all phases of the game: hitting, pitching, position play, base running and mental preparation. Traditional baseball activities will be included with other activities that stress “Fun with a Purpose."
About the Director: Coach Palumbo is the former head baseball coach for Bowie State University, where he led the team to its first ever CIAA Championship in 1996. He has also managed five Babe Ruth Maryland State Championship teams and five Mid-Atlantic Regional Championship teams.

The Adventure Explorers program is a must for active campers who love the outdoors! Throughout the week, campers will set out for exciting adventures off property. A schedule of trips is provided at the start of each week. Typical explorations include hiking through Maryland's state and county parks, biking on the local trails, swimming at different waterfront sites, and an overnight camping adventure at the end of the week. While at school, campers will learn about their surrounding environment and various camping skills, including building lean-tos and a campfire. Explorers must bring their own sunscreen, bug spray, backpack and water bottle every day. Campers also need to bring a suitable and working bike and helmet on biking days. For the overnight trip on Thursday, campers will need a sleeping bag and pillow (sleeping mat is optional).
About the Director: Meghan Larson has more than 12 years of outdoor summer camp experience as a counselor and day camp director, including leading overnight camping trips. She has been teaching middle school in Maryland for 10 years, including 4 years at Annapolis Area Christian School.

This camp is designed for beginning and
intermediate players in a non-contact skill based format. Fundamentals will be taught and refined for
all offensive and defensive positions with culminating week-end 7 v 7 play.
About the Director: Coach Lucas is the head football coach at AACS. He led the Eagles to two straight MIAA C conference titles before they moved up to the B Conference and won the championship in their first season; all this in only the fifth year of the program at AACS. Coach Lucas has been named “Coach of the Year” three times in his career.

This camp is designed for campers of all ability levels who want to participate in an active, fun filled week of sports and games. Each day campers will learn and play a variety of sports including soccer, basketball, volleyball, team handball, swatball, ultimate football, exciting games, races, relays, and for campers ages 10 and up, Archery. We will focus on skill development, game tactics, teamwork, and playing to the best of your ability. Each day after lunch we will also include a short film session watching various sports videos. Friday we will host an end of week tournament and award ceremony; parents are welcome to watch the basketball championships from 3:00pm – 4:00pm in the main gym.
About the Directors: The Wolf Pack is bred in sports. Ken Wolf, father of Aaron, Caleb and Josiah, has been a Physical Educator and soccer coach for over 30 years at Anne Arundel Community College. Aaron is an ACE certified personal trainer, has a degree in Physical Education and has coached youth sports off and on for the past 15 years. Caleb has worked in youth programs since he graduated college and is currently working on his Masters at University of Maryland. Josiah has a degree in Physical Education and has been coaching and leading summer camps at AACS since 2007, including the ever growing Eagles Explorations Day Program The Wolf Pack love sports and have a heart for working with children. We are combining these passions to give your child a truly memorable and educational week at camp!

This camp is for players of all levels who wish
to strengthen their game. Beginning and
intermediate players will develop solid fundamentals in passing, hitting,
serving and defense. High school level
players need to come ready for a physically and mentally strenuous camp
designed to help you excel in all aspects of volleyball so you will be able to
leave the competition behind!
About the Director: Coach Parsons has 11 years of coaching experience working with all skill levels. In High School, she won two state championships and was an All-Met player. She then played volleyball at a local Division I College. This is her 5th year running the camp at AACS.

This camp emphasizes individual skill development, team concepts, sportsmanship and self-confidence throughout the week. Girls will receive quality instruction in all phases of the game in a positive and fun atmosphere. Beginners and established players will benefit from attending Eagles Girls’ Basketball. Campers will be grouped according to age, size, and playing experience.
Because the coach is the most important person involved in creating a positive camp experience, we select our coaches with great care. Our goal is to send your child home as a better basketball player and, even more importantly a better person!
About the Director: Coach Domoracki is the girls’ varsity head basketball coach at AACS. He has more than 20 years of coaching
experience, having coached at both the high school and college levels.

EAGLES SOCCER

make the difference between good and excellent as well as to gain an advantage
on the competition. The focus will be on
challenging and improving your skills in three main areas:
1) Speed/strength/action
2) Ball skills for dribbling, passing shooting
3) Decision making and game tactics.

About the Director: Coach Irias has been playing or coaching soccer his entire life! He played varsity all 4 years at Baptist Bible College and has coached at AACS the past 7 years.

GIRLS' FIELD HOCKEY FUNDAMENTALS

This camp will introduce and build on core field hockey fundamentals while participating in game situations. All aspects of the game will be covered, including offensive and defensive skills while having fun in learning.
About the Director: Coach Wiley played field hockey at Taylor University and has been the head coach of the AACS field hockey team for 11 years. In 2010, she led the team to its first IAMM Championship in the school’s history.
